How did the future of work and workplace has changed by the COVID-19 pandemic? For any employer of any size, it’s important to prioritize workplace safety to protect both the employees and the organization. Fortunately, ServiceNow has come up with Safe Workplace Applications which helps organizations to bring back the workforce in the face of a pandemic like COVID-19.
“Let’s get the world healthy, safe, and back to the workplace”
ServiceNow has published the following applications to support workplace safety and return to normal.
Employee Readiness Survey
A readiness survey helps organizations assess their workforce’s willingness to return to the workplace. By posing and collecting employee answers to a set of questions that discuss employee readiness and level of interest in returning to the workplace. Employers can identify the necessary and appropriate steps to ensure a smooth and secure re-entry for employees based on employee responses.
Employee Health Screening
Employee Health Screening supervises health screening data for each employee. ServiceNow’s Workplace Health Screening application provides a robust way to monitor and interpret workplace health data as organizations introduce compulsory body temperature tests and allow workers to self-report any signs of illness. Employees will be screened first, then the results will be recorded and based on the results, individuals can be either admitted or denied with the entry. So, administrators can also view trends through the dashboard for reporting and track employees’ return overtime to their facilities
Workplace Safety Management
Safety Management enables administrators of Organizations and workforce infrastructure to easily design healthy hygienic and socially isolated workspaces such that workers can return to the office safely. This application lets administrators assign shifts so, that workers use certain workspaces for a fixed period and also provides customized cleaning schedules at the end of each shift.
Workplace PPE Inventory Management
PPE Inventory helps organizations manage and monitor their PPE inventory needs to ensure that their workforce is physically safe. The dashboard of the app offers an overview of the inventory by the module. The entire workforce and historical statistics on how equipment rates have evolved are shown. Inventory levels can be updated daily for accurate, real-time inventory management. In the data model of PPE, there is a model for each type of PPE in the inventory that can be published in the Service Catalog. Stocks can then be monitored at various locations in stores. Stock rules can be set up automatically to re-supply stores and PPE can be assigned to the workforce without request.
Contact Tracing
The ServiceNow Contact Tracing application helps employers minimize the spread of contagious diseases to the workplace, such as COVID-19 and by detecting any on-site workers who may have been in touch with the infected employee. The employer is provided with information on the number of recorded cases or symptoms at the workplace. A list of possibly exposed employees is collected from several data sources, including the badge activity and this is used to know-when and how many times the employee has entered the building.
